Module 2: Searching and locating references in the library

""Finding journals in the library

Most copies of journals in psychology can be found in the Library collection interfiled with books on similar topics in psychology.

You will need to know the call number of the journal to locate it in the shelves. Some journals are electronic journals and can be accessed via the internet.

Serial/Journal Holdings

Note: The journal holdings statement is useful for determining if the volume and issue that you require is held by the library or not e.g., S 333.7205/17 vol. 1 (1991)- indicates that we have the journal from vol 9(1977) onwards, whereas PJ 333.72099405/17 vol. 1 (1994)-vol.9 (2002) means that we only have the journal from 1994 to 2002.
